Responsibilities:
o Manage Scrum and XP processes
o Insures backlog is in quality repair; works closely with PO, constantly grooming
o Anticipation and proactive tracking/recording/removal/escalation of impediments
o Reporting of risks, impediments, sprint and release progress
o Identifying & managing dependencies within product development with the team
o Sprint planning; continuous velocity improvement. Prioritization of defects resolution.
o Proactively resolve conflict between people and if needed escalate appropriately
o Collect/distribute project information regularly, team agreements, sprint and release plans
o Lead internal and external communication, improving transparency and understanding
o Remove any obstacles blocking or slowing down the team members
o Identify and coordinate dependencies with other teams or vendors
Skills:
o People: Direct, fair, consistent, with extraordinary integrity; non-bureaucratic
o Scrum process integrity. Training and coaching team. Scrum metrics.
o Protecting team from distractions. Surfacing and resolving impediments
o Stellar communicator-written and verbal: in the language and tone of PO and team
o Rational Team Concert (RTC). Extreme Programming (XP).Test Driven Development (TDD)
o 7+ years of systems development experience. 3+ Years of ScrumMaster experience
o 5+ years of experience in release and sprint plan, impediments, and burndown
o Ideally has both a Java/programming and B2C, eCommerce RIA experience
o Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
